It really felt like this game was over before it even started. After the NY Giants suffered a 40-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, Big Blue Nation was hoping that this team would show some fight in Week 10 in the 2023 rematch.

That wasn't the case. At halftime, Dallas was up 28-0 and they had no issues getting the job done, closing things out with a 49-17 win over the G-Men. NY is now 2-8 on the year and people have seen enough. We've got our takeaways from the action, and it's dominated by negative emotions:

4. Brian Daboll had an afternoon to forget

It wasn't that long ago that head man Brian Daboll was a rockstar all over New York and New Jersey. Now, though, it feels like people are starting to turn on him and Sunday's result against Dallas has only made things worse. Daboll's day got started in brutal fashion, with him throwing the challenge flag on an obvious call that should have never been questioned - it cost NY an early timeout.

In the grand scheme of things, this mistake from Daboll didn't lose the game for the Giants, but come on, what in the world was he thinking about making this decision? People were ripping him for it on social media and rightfully so. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only head-scratcher from Coach Dabes on the day.

We have to bring up the 4th-down call where the Giants were deep in Dallas territory after a Cor'Dale Flott interception. Instead of taking the points or even throwing the ball, a run to Saquon Barkley was called. Barkley was stuffed and no one was happy. In the end, this was all on Daboll and it only gave the Dallas defense even more confidence for the rest of the contest.
