Jalin Hyatt has everyone talking with OBJ-type catch at NY Giants OTAs
Alright, this is what we're talking about. With the NY Giants back on the field at OTAs and looking to keep building ahead of the 2024 campaign, leave it to second-year wideout Jalin Hyatt to get you even more excited for the fall to get here.
After a bit of an underwhelming rookie season with the G-Men, Hyatt is looking to make a splash in the coming months. His confidence is only going to grow thanks to a sensational one-handed grab he was able to record at practice. Does this catch remind you of someone who previously wore No. 13 for the G-Men?
Giants WR Jalin Hyatt is going viral for an epic grab at OTAs
Yes, the Odell Beckham Jr. comparisons are coming in hot - that's how awesome Hyatt made this play look. There's nothing not to like about it. No. 3 quarterback Tommy DeVito put this ball in a spot where only Hyatt could come down with it, and he did just that, needing only one hand to do so.
Deonte Banks must have been shaking his head at Hyatt's insane grab, as the former first-round pick was all over him, but the young WR made things happen anyway. Hyatt will have some bragging rights over Banks for this one, that's for sure.
Last offseason, the Giants traded up in the third round to bring Hyatt to town. With his unreal speed, the hope was that he'd be able to make a massive impact for the offense and Brian Daboll during his rookie season. The University of Tennessee product was a little quiet, though, finishing with 23 receptions for 373 yards and no touchdowns.
Will some more impressive numbers be on the way for him in Year 2? We sure hope so. Hyatt has loads of potential and while a lot of people are fired up about Malik Nabers, who is also receiving OBJ comparisons, we can't forget about Hyatt and what he can do for the aerial attack.
