It took a bit longer than expected, but folks, NY Giants rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has arrived. After a slow start during OTAs and minicamp, the haters were ready to write this poor kid off. Seriously, that quickly?
That was absurd and Hyatt is proving why. In recent days, Hyatt has been looking sharp at training camp - including on Monday morning. Not only did Hyatt haul in a nice touchdown grab from Tyrod Taylor, but he also showcased his incredible speed on this long reception from Daniel Jones too:

If the youngster is hit in stride in the open field, is anyone going to be able to catch up to him to post a tackle? Not a chance. There's buzz that Hyatt hit 24 miles per hour in East Rutherford during a session, which would put him above the one and only Tyreek Hill.
Hyatt has been getting more action under his belt of late and he has been taking advantage of his increased reps. Not only that, but he and Jones were once again spotted getting some extra work in following Monday's practice. You've got to love how dedicated No. 84 is to getting better:
A third-round pick out of Tennessee, Hyatt took home Biletnikoff Award honors last season after his outstanding season with the Vols. The fact that the G-Men and general manager Joe Schoen were able to land him in the third round felt like a major steal.
With him being a first-year Giant, there's of course going to be some ups and downs this fall and winter, but fans are excited to see what he can do once the preseason arrives. If he can record some solid performances against opposing defenses, it will only help his confidence moving forward.
