Jets Zach Wilson drama proves they're way more dysfunctional than the Giants

Things are embarrassing in East Rutherford, but for Gang Green and not the G-Men

The two teams in East Rutherford are 4-8 on the year. Just who in the heck saw this coming? For the NY Giants, the 2023 campaign has been a bit of a mess, with Daniel Jones tearing his ACL and Big Blue dealing with just about every injury in the book.

However, if you thought things for Big Blue were embarrassing, take a look at the Jets to bring some joy into your life. QB Aaron Rodgers is out for the year with his torn Achilles, while former first-round pick Zach Wilson is refusing to take the field with his team in need? It sure looks like that's the case:

Zach Wilson reluctant to start for the Jets again is a terrible look for him

Where does Wilson get the nerve? When Rodgers went down with his injury, the former No. 2 overall pick took over running the offense and he looked rough from start to finish. Things were so bad for him, that Robert Saleh made the needed call to send him to the bench.

Quarterback Tim Boyle ended up starting the past two weeks, but he was benched in favor of Trevor Siemian this past Sunday in the rough 13-8 loss to the Falcons. Now, Saleh is hoping to go back to Wilson, but the fact that he's up in the air about playing is a disgrace.

Imagine if this was Danny Dimes or Tyrod Taylor who was basically saying they didn't want to take the field again. Big Blue supporters would be furious and rightfully so. Luckily, that's not the case for Brian Daboll. Unfortunately for Saleh, he has to deal with his nonsense.

The Jets opening Rodgers' 21-day practice window gave people false hope he'd be able to return this year, but come on, that's not going to happen. Things have gone from bad to worse for the Jets, with the latest news on Wilson being disrespectful to people who spend their hard-earned money to watch this team at MetLife. Wilson needs to get over himself and be reminded that he's paid a huge sum of money to play ball. Reluctant to play? Get real, kid.
