Before he even made his regular season debut for the NY Giants, star wide receiver Malik Nabers already knew about the beef his team has with the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers made things even better by striking up some online drama with cornerback Trevon Diggs. These two clearly don't like one another.

All of that makes the Thursday Night Football matchup between the two sides even more intriguing. While speaking with the press, Nabers was asked about going up against Diggs in primetime for the first time in his career. The No. 6 overall pick didn't throw any additional shots his way, but he did make it clear he's got Diggs on his mind:

Malik Nabers is ready to take on Trevon Diggs on Thursday night

This started when Nabers said he's planning to own Diggs when they face off, while Diggs also said that the Giants have been 'getting the belt' for some years now. Can't argue with the Dallas playmaker there, as the Cowboys have dominated this rivalry in recent campaigns. Matter of fact, Brian Daboll is 0-4 vs. Dallas since taking over as head coach.

Thankfully for the G-Men, they were able to make enough plays to post a stunning victory over the Browns in Week 3. Nabers was once again electric in that contest, finishing with eight receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns. His acrobatic, leaping TD was a thing of beauty and it's something people are still talking about.

Come Thursday night against the Cowboys, however, it's time for Nabers to back the trash talk he sent Diggs' way not long ago. You better believe the Dallas defensive back has been waiting for this moment to arrive. He's a gamer and he surely didn't like a rookie trying to get his attention that way.

With Daniel Jones playing well, he's going to rely on Nabers to keep balling out for him. Some might think there's added pressure on Nabers to deliver for this team, but he's handling himself like a veteran out there. For TNF, he'll look to do the same, but the motivation is there to make Diggs regret some of his fighting words from back in June.
