Malik Nabers throws countless haymakers at Lions DB in yet another big brawl

Coach Dabes is surely going to talk to his wideout about this.

You just had a feeling more fireworks were going to be on the way for Day 2 of joint practices between the NY Giants and Detroit Lions. Day 1 saw countless guys lose their minds and that was once again the case. This time around, though, rookie wideout Malik Nabers was front and center for everything.

After Daniel Jones tried to hit Nabers in the end zone on a deep throw, the No. 6 overall pick got up, started jawing a little bit and then delivered a shot at Lions defensive back Kerby Joseph. Joseph, understandably, lost his cool and went after Nabers. The NY standout then let loose with some huge haymakers and Joseph returned the favor. Then, several other players got involved:

Malik Nabers and Kerby Joseph traded massive blows at Giants-Lions practice

Nabers plays with a chip on his shoulder, but this is for sure something Brian Daboll is going to talk to him about. Could you imagine if Nabers would have injured his hand on one of these punches? Both guys were wearing helmets, so Nabers could have suffered more pain than the damage he thought he was delivering.

The first-rounder has joined the Giants as their new WR1, providing this team with a different kind of threat on offense. They simply can't afford to lose him for any time for something that's completely avoidable - such as a freak injury suffered in a camp brawl.

Things got so hectic between the Lions and Giants, the two teams decided to essentially cut practice short because other fights continued to break out. These two sides don't like each other at all, which is a bit surprising. Now, they'll face off on Thursday night in the preseason opener. We can only hope no more haymakers will be thrown, but don't be surprised if that happens.
