3. The missed tackles on the Noah Fant 51-yard gain

The tackling for the Giants was a disgrace against the 49ers, but the defense worked on things during practice the past week. Did they actually? Once again, after missing 16 last week, tackling was a major issue for the Giants against the Seahawks. Things officially hit rock bottom for the Giants D on a 51-yard gain by Noah Fant.

Facing 3rd-and-10, the Seahawks had Drew Lock in at quarterback after Smith suffered a knee injury. Lock hit Fant for a decent gain, but he ended up turning upfield and was finally brought down by Isaiah Simmons at the one-yard line. However, Fant really had no business nearly scoring a touchdown on this play:

Bobby Okereke had a chance to bring Fant down, but it looked like he tried to shove him out of bounds instead of bringing him down. That simply can't happen. Then, moments later, cornerback Adoree' Jackson also missed a tackle on Fant. How does this even happen? The effort level just isn't there for this defense.
