NFL Draft Grades 2022: Re-grading the NY Giants draft one year later
Fourth round: TE Daniel Bellinger and S Dane Belton: A-
The Giants and Schoen really knocked it out of the park in the fourth round of the draft last year. Starting with Daniel Bellinger, a lot of people thought the Giants reached a bit here with the San Diego State tight end. However, Bellinger was fantastic for the Giants, and despite him suffering his serious eye injury, he proved to be a mid-round steal.
He may be better known as a pass-blocker, but Bellinger was a reliable target in the aerial attack for Jones as well. His rushing touchdown vs. the Green Bay Packers is surely something he's never going to forget either, as that scored helped Big Blue record their stunning upset win over the Packers over in London. Just because TE Darren Waller was brought in, that doesn't mean Bellinger will be forgotten moving forward.
With Dane Belton, talk about a youngster who stepped up when his number was called for the Giants. Belton appeared in 15 games for NY, tying Julian Love for the team lead in interceptions with two. With Love leaving this offseason to sign a two-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks, Belton is only going to see more action in '23. We're confident he'll be able to have a strong sophomore season.
