It almost turned out to be a perfect Sunday for the NY Giants and general manager Joe Schoen. In the season finale, the G-Men were able to stun Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, taking down Philly 27-10. Who saw that result coming?

The G-Men ended their five-game losing streak against the Eagles, leaving a foul taste in Nick Sirianni's mouth ahead of their Wild Card Round showdown with the Bucs next week. However, the Kansas City Chiefs and Harrison Butker spoiled the day a bit by taking down the Chargers. Why does that matter? Well, LA now has the No. 5 overall pick in the NFL Draft and NY fell to No. 6.

This was a meaningless game for the Chiefs, but Andy Reid was able to get some revenge on the Giants for the Kadarius Toney trade by sending out Butker to drill that field goal. Come next April, the Giants are locked in with that No. 6 spot and there are going to be a ton of great options available.

Will Schoen go with a new quarterback? The buzz for a while now has been that Schoen could look to go with his 'own quarterback' and replace Daniel Jones as the QB1 of the future. However, insider Mike Garafolo reported on Sunday morning that Jones is expected to be the Week1 starter.

So, if the Giants stick with Jones as the starter, could this change their plans for the upcoming draft? That could be the case, as we could see the Giants pursue a stud offensive tackle to replace Evan Neal, a WR1 for Jones to work with, or even a standout pass-rusher for Wink Martindale, assuming he returns of course.

At quarterback, Jayden Daniels should be available at No. 6, but who knows, maybe Schoen attacks a different position or tries to trade up to move up a few spots too. Everything is in play, but NY is outside of the Top 5... for now.
