Is it too early to start dreaming, NY Giants fans? Here we are inching closer to the season opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys for a Sunday Night Football clash, and the hype is real for the playmakers in East Rutherford. Is an upset of America's Team on the way?

Maybe that's not the only surprise that people should be talking about. On Good Morning Football, NFL insider Peter Schrager showed Brian Daboll and Co. a ton of love. Matter of fact, Schrager picked a dark horse contender to go on and win the Super Bowl and he's rocking with Big Blue:

Peter Schrager thinks the NY Giants are going to shock a lot of people this campaign

"They made the playoffs last year. They won a playoff game last year on the road. They beat a 13-win Vikings team and they only got better this offseason. Everyone's saying their schedule is going to be harder, but guess what guys, it's August, every team's schedule is looking hard right now.""

Schrager went on to talk about Daniel Jones landing his monster extension, Saquon Barkley returning on the franchise tag, the great defense of Wink Martindale and more. The Giants were expected to be a 4-5 win team in 2022, but they proved everyone wrong in Coach Dabes' first year in charge.

With Daboll leading the charge, the G-Men went 9-7-1 and took down the Vikes in Minnesota in the NFC Wild Card Round. With Darren Waller, Bobby Okereke, Parris Campbell and other studs being added to the roster, things are looking great for this team in '23.

The Giants have a great opportunity to make a statement on Sept. 10 against the Cowboys. Jones is 1-6 in his career vs. Dallas and the whole country will be watching this primetime showdown. If the G-Men can take care of business, then people will finally have to start showing them some respect.

Schrager won't be speechless if Big Blue comes out on top. As for a trip to the Super Bowl... never say never.
