With the 2023 NFL Draft about four weeks away, people continue to guess what NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen might do when he's on the clock at No. 25 overall. A star wide receiver is needed, but some serious help is also needed for the interior offensive line.

If you ask the team over at CBS Sports, though, Schoen will go in a different direction. In the latest Mock Draft from Chris Trapasso, he has the Giants going with Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. However, there's a bit of a twist here, as Trapasso thinks the Kansas City Chiefs will trade up with the G-Men for their No. 25 overall pick, while Big Blue will end up at No. 31. Could this go down?

CBS has the Giants taking Joey Porter Jr. at No. 31 overall in 2023

This sure would be interesting. If Trapasso is right with his prediction, then the Chiefs indeed would get the No. 25 overall pick, and the Giants would get the No. 31 selection and a third-round pick in return. Hey, that'd be a pretty nice move for Schoen and Co.

Cornerback is still a priority for this team as well. Kelee Ringo, Cam Smith and Deonte Banks have been mentioned as possibilities for the Giants in the first round, and now you can add Porter to the list. The Penn State standout is also in the first-round conversation. Plenty of Big Blue fans would love to see him head to East Rutherford.

More Giants Mock Draft news

• Elsewhere in the mock draft world, ESPN's Jordan Reid released his latest version earlier in the week and he thinks the Giants and Schoen will stay put at No. 25 overall. With that pick, ESPN thinks that Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers will be the WR1 of the future for NY.

• NFL.com's Cynthia Frelund dropped a new Mock Draft this week too, and she also believes that Flowers will be the Giants' pick at No. 25 overall. NY met with Flowers ahead of his Boston College Pro Day for dinner. Not only that, but Art Stapleton is reporting that Flowers has set a Top 30 visit to East Rutherford as well.

• Recently, Danny Kelly of The Ringer posted his Mock Draft, with the Giants taking a WR at No. 25 overall. However, it's not Flowers in this case. Instead, Kelly predicts Schoen and Co. to rock with TCU WR Quentin Johnston. The Giants recently had dinner with Johnston as well. He's a name to keep an eye on leading up to April 27.
