2. Philadelphia Eagles

Yes, the Dallas Cowboys lost a shocking home game in the playoffs, but the Philadelphia Eagles' collapse in 2023 had them reeling entering the offseason, which puts them behind Dak Prescott’s squad. The Eagles looked like a shell of the Super Bowl contending team we saw over the last year during the second half of the season.

During that time, Jalen Hurts regressed as a passer, and the team’s offense couldn’t seem to get going in any fashion. Major changes were made within the Eagles’ coaching staff, although Nick Sirianni will return for 2024. Enter Kellen Moore on offense and Vic Fangio on defense, and of course the addition of Barkley should help.

No, the Eagles are not exactly going the young, exciting hire route with their assistants, but the franchise tried that in 2023 to no avail. Fangio should improve the defense after one season in Miami, but the jury remains out on Moore, who spent many seasons in Dallas before coaching Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers’ offense in 2023.

Throughout the offseason, Philadelphia had some holes to fill, specifically on defense and along the offensive line with Jason Kelce’s retirement, but Howie Roseman showed once again why he’s one of the league’s best. The ending to 2023 left a bad taste in their mouth, but the Eagles aren't going away in 2024, and the rivalry between the Eagles and the Giants will only grow stronger this season.
