There's no better stamp of approval the NY Giants organization could have received after their first-round pick. Heading into the NFL Draft, Big Blue needed to focus on a quarterback, wideout, and several other positions, but ultimately the front office decided LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers would be the best fit for the team at No. 6. Not only did the Giants receive support for the pick from their fanbase, but also from two legendary head coaches. Joe Schoen must be smiling.

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who contributed to ESPN's NFL Draft coverage, spoke highly of Nabers. He compared the LSU wideout to a point guard in basketball because he is a complete player who can fill any role the team asks of him. We all know how highly respected Coach Saban is around the game, and for Giants fans to hear him speak so highly on their new WR1 is music to their ears.

The Giants made countless fans happy with the Malik Nabers pick

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick praised the new Giants wide receiver on the Pat McAfee Show after the team selected him. The six-time Super Bowl Champion said there is a lot to like about Nabers and called him a competitive player who can fill many roles, similar to what Coach Saban said about the LSU WR.

If an endorsement from both Coach Saban and Coach Belichick doesn't tell you enough why Nabers was the right pick for the New York Giants at No. 6, we don't know what will. There is so much to look forward to when the Giants' first-round pick takes the field in 2024.

He will eventually become a fan favorite on and off the field. For now, Big Blue Nation will continue to welcome Nabers to the Big Apple. It's nice to know that the Giants' first-round pick will have the support of both the fans and some of the greatest football minds moving forward.
