NY Giants 2024 NFL Mock Draft: Ohio State WR lands with Big Blue in first round

NY Giants sixth-round pick: QB Jalon Daniels, Kansas
Tyrod Taylor's contract expires at the end of this season, and New York will likely search for a new, cheaper backup. Tommy DeVito could be a candidate, but the 2024 QB class is insanely deep, and Schoen could tap into that.
Of PFF's 20 highest-graded college quarterbacks in 2023, 19 are draft-eligible in 2024. Jalon Daniels is a dual-threat quarterback who has a lot of similarities to Taylor. Daniels has completely turned around the Kansas program, leading them to their first bowl appearance since 2008 last fall, and has his Jayhawks squad at 4-0.
Throughout his career, Daniels has thrown for 4,297 yards and 31 touchdowns while rushing for another 600 and 13 touchdowns. Daniels has one more year of eligibility and could opt to return to school and become a high pick in 2025). Or, he could leave school early.
The Giants do not have a seventh-round pick in 2024, as they traded it for Isaiah Simmons. Fans are hoping the Giants can get back on track vs. the Seahawks in Week 4, but again, it's never too early to start thinking about next spring. Some talented, young pieces will be needed for the G-Men.
