The New York Football Giants are riding a two-game winning streak and are now just two games behind the Minnesota Vikings for the final NFC Wild Card spot.

Tommy DeVito has been a very serviceable quarterback, but don't let the current standings fool you; this Giants team may not win another game this season. New York's five remaining games are against Green Bay, New Orleans, the Los Angeles Rams, and Philadelphia (twice), all teams with playoff aspirations.

Well, 4-13 and a top-three pick are still in the cards for Big Blue. Currently, they hold the sixth pick in the draft. Here is my latest mock draft as we enter the month of December:

NY Giants first-round pick: LSU QB Jayden Daniels

It would be a significant upset if Drake Maye, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Caleb Williams were not the top three picks in the 2024 Draft, and right now, the Giants aren't in a position to get any of the three. The two most likely positions for Joe Schoen to target in the first round in April are quarterback and wide receiver, especially considering he has already spent first-round picks at cornerback, offensive tackle, and edge rusher.

Jayden Daniels, who will be a Heisman Trophy finalist, is quickly becoming QB3 in this class, and for good reason. His game and ability resemble Lamar Jackson. Through five college seasons, Daniels has completed 953 of his 1,438 pass attempts for 12,749 yards and 89 touchdowns to just 20 interceptions. Daniels has also rushed for 3,307 yards and 34 touchdowns on 617 attempts.

This season, Daniels has thrown for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions while rushing for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns. Joe Burrow had one of the best quarterback seasons in college football history in 2019 for LSU, but Daniels has managed to one-up him. He would fit Brian Daboll's offense seamlessly.
