NY Giants 53-man roster prediction following the 2023 NFL Draft
By Reese Nasser
NY Giants tight ends (3)
• Darren Waller, Daniel Bellinger, Lawrence Cager
Along with a strong group of wide receivers, the Giants have also assembled a more than capable group of tight ends. The addition of Darren Waller has seen the Giants make a significant upgrade at the tight end position. With his arrival, they gain one of the game's best tight ends, who when healthy has the potential to also produce like a WR1.
Along with Waller, Daniel Bellinger could see an even bigger role in Year 2. After showing legitimate upside throughout his rookie season, he could see even more opportunities with all of the other weapons that have been assembled. Bellinger missed a large chunk of the 2022 season due to his eye injury, but he's back to full health and ready to make an impact.
It also feels almost like a lock that Lawrence Cager will return in 2023. After joining the team last season, he quickly managed to carve out a role. Having him alongside Waller and Bellinger could complete this tight ends room. Cager is a big-bodied TE. Don't forget about him moving forward in '23.
