3. OG Josh Ezeudu

For a third-round pick, Josh Ezeudu had a less-than-ideal rookie year. While he showed flashes in the run game, his pass-blocking abilities were borderline disastrous. Now, with an offseason to progress and a big question mark at left guard, there's a real chance that he starts in 2023.

As of now, it seems like the starting left guard will be Ben Bredeson. Not only was he the better player in 2022, but he is much more experienced and consistent. Despite this, if Ezeudu manages to drastically improve his pass-blocking, he has a genuine chance to start this season.

Regardless of whether or not he improves, Ezeudu has a real chance to start. Unfortunately, Bredeson has a history of injuries. If these problems continue, Ezuedu may be thrust into a starting role that he very well may not be ready for. This is why his progression is so key.

We're hopeful for the former Tar Heel to improve in 2023. If so, the Giants could have one of the most promising young offensive lines with Ezeudu, Andrew Thomas, Evan Neal, and John Michael-Schmitz, plus veteran Mark Glowinski. Not many teams can say they have four promising, young offensive linemen. All of this, though, depends on Ezeudu showing the promise he showcased at North Carolina that made him a third-round pick.
