Can we calm down a bit with the Kayvon Thibodeaux hate, NY Giants fans? After taking some time to digest Thibodeaux's comments on the 7pm in Brooklyn Podcast, yes, he probably didn't make the best decision in saying he disagreed with the Giants front office paying Daniel Jones first over Saquon Barkley.

However, the narratives that are being painted are just out of whack. Fans are bashing No. 5, claiming that he has thrown Daniel Jones under the bus and that he's causing issues for the locker room. That'd be the case if Thibodeaux didn't clearly state he believes in Danny Dimes.

He also didn't say the $160 million extension was a mistake. More, he was simply stating that since Barkley was so valuable for the offense, he felt that the two-time Pro Bowler should have gotten his deal finalized first. At no point did Thiboeaux say Jones should have never gotten his extension.

Giants fans turning on Kayvon Thibodeaux doesn't feel right

Thibodeaux kept things real and he probably isn't the only player who wasn't too happy to see that Barkley didn't get paid. However, was what he said that bad? Again, Thibodeaux made it clear he is a fan of Jones and he even started to say it was a great contract for him before cutting himself off.

However, some people are taking these comments quite hard, with fans even suggesting on social media that general manager Joe Schoen should move on from him this offseason and send him packing to send a statement. Come on, you have got to be kidding.

The standout pass-rusher is coming off a stellar campaign, posting a career-high 11.5 sacks. This came after he posted only four during his rookie season. At the end of the day, he probably shouldn't discuss contracts for teammates, as it definitely caused some drama shortly after his clip went viral.

This will likely lead to a meeting with Schoen and head man Brian Daboll, but a simple apology and handshake will probably end any issues between everyone. Thibodeaux still wants to see Barkley get paid and that very well could happen this offseason. Thibodeaux is also a massive part of the future for the Giants and nothing is going to change that, especially not a 40-second video cut up from an interview with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero.
