2. S John Johnson

The corner postion isn't the only defensive spot in need of help. Safety might be where the Giants are stretched the thinnest defensively, especially with the departure of Julian Love. The Giants should be looking everywhere for answers.

Yes, the giants brought in Bobby McCain, but do we really think he's the answer here? No disrespect to McCain, as he has put up some pretty consistent, solid numbers in his eight-year career, but I think there's a better answer out there. That answer would be John Johnson.

This past year for Cleveland, he was solid in the Browns' secondary. Johnson had 101 tackles (70 solo), four tackles for loss and an interception. You may not be impressed with all of these numbers, but are they better than McCain's?

Yes. Every single number listed is in favor of Johnson. McCain has a little more speed than Johnson, but Johnson knows how to get after the quarterback. Johnson has the coverage ability and a little more of a nose for finding the ball. He'd surely be a solid option for Wink Martindale in 2023.
