4. Staying: S Xavier McKinney

Coming off of a career year, Xavier McKinney is in for a payday and the Giants need to prioritize bringing one of their most versatile pieces back on defense. McKinney was one of two players in the league to play every single defensive snap this past season, the other being teammate Bobby Okereke.

In 2023, McKinney had career highs in tackles (116), pass breakups (11) and fumble recoveries (2), while adding in three interceptions with 0.5 sacks. According to Spotrac, McKinney's value is currently at $10.4 million per year, with an expected contract at five years, $52.4 million.

Another attractive trait about McKinney is that he is just 24 years old and will be 25 when the regular season begins. Locking him in now with his potential to still grow under a new defensive scheme seems like the right move for Schoen to make this offseason.
