1. Gone: RB Saquon Barkley

This is going to be the big talking point of the offseason. Are the Giants and Barkley going to agree on a new contract? Will they place the franchise tag on him for a second consecutive year? Who knows at this point, but Barkley seemed dismissive when asked about contract talks following the team's Week 18 win against Philadelphia.

Barkley rushed for just under 1,000 yards and had 10 total touchdowns in 2023. He missed three games due to injury and would've certainly eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark if he didn't suffer his high-ankle sprain in the Week 2 win over Arizona. He's going to be 27 in February, so the Giants would likely be paying him until his age-30 season if a long-term deal is reached.

With the way things are looking now, Barkley is destined to be on another team at the start of the 2024 season. The Giants would be losing their best playmaker on offense and leaving the run game without a real threat, but are they willing to pay him? It doesn't seem likely.
