If you thought the drama between the NY Giants and now former star running back Saquon Barkley was over, guess again. From the moment Barkley said goodbye to East Rutherford and signed with the Eagles, people all over the area have been furious with him. Suiting up for the enemy? Come on.

However, it now looks like we're about to get a new update on just how things went down for No. 26 during free agency. HBO Max released a trailer for the upcoming offseason edition of Hard Knocks, which will give us an inside look at what exactly happened with Barkley. In part of the clip, it looks like general manager Joe Schoen asks the speedster to give him a chance to bring him back, but then things cut out. So, what can we expect once the show drops?

Did Saquon Barkley give the NY Giants a chance to keep him in town?

"Saquon, can you give me your word on that, or are you not going to give us a chance? "

And now, we wait. Our guess is that Schoen is asking Barkley to come back with his best offer and then give the Big Blue front office a chance to match things, but we won't know for sure until later this summer. Barkley ended up putting the pen to paper on a three-year, $37.75 million contract.

Not long after Barkley inked with Philly and Howie Roseman, he took to social media to say that the Giants never made him an offer this offseason. This was in response to NY fans ripping him across the board for the decision he made.

Hey, Saquon got his bag and we're happy he's being paid like one of the top RBs in the league - he earned it. However, a lot of people remain furious that he decided to join NY's biggest and most hated rival. When these two teams meet this campaign, revenge will be there on both sides.

As for Barkley's negotiations with the Giants, we can't wait to find out exactly how things transpired. Did the former Pro Bowler indeed not give the Giants a shot to match his top offer, or was Barkley up front with Schoen and the rest of the front office? An answer is on the way.
