New York Giants 2020 third-round pick Matt Peart is still waiting for his 'NFL moment,' and the window of opportunities is beginning to close on him. This may be Peart's last chance to make the team out of training camp if he can meet the expectations.

Through his first three NFL seasons, Peart has played 35 games, making six starts. While he isn't expected to start at right tackle again this season, Peart can play a significant role if Evan Neal cannot stay healthy.

Last week, Neal exited a training camp practice with a concussion, and Peart replaced him immediately on the first unit. If Brian Daboll decides to rest Neal against the Lions, we can expect him to call upon the fourth-year lineman again to step in. Peart is currently listed as the backup right tackle on the team's unofficial depth chart.

All eyes will be on Peart to capitalize on an opportunity to perform well against the Lions and make a case to be named to the Giants' 53-man roster, with Neal most likely still in concussion protocol by Friday.
