This is what we're talking about. Free agency is almost here and we don't have to tell you that Joe Schoen and the NY Giants are going to be going HARD after offensive linemen and pass-rushers. That's a given.

However, the aerial attack still needs to improve and wide receivers need to be looked at. There's a growing belief Schoen will use the No. 6 overall pick on a stud wideout, but could he also make a splash by inking a veteran too? In a new piece from CBS, they've listed top landing spots for Calvin Ridley and the Giants are included on the list. Ridley to MetLife? Yes please.

The Giants signing Calvin Ridley in free agency would get the fanbase pumped

"Speaking of the Big Apple, Ridley would also be a welcomed addition to a Giants offense that may be without both Saquon Barkley and Darren Waller in 2024. With or without those two players, the Giants' offense needs a talent infusion, and Ridley can be a good starting point. "

Bryan DeArdo

As Bryan DeArdo noted, it's up in the air if Darren Waller will be back with the G-Men next season or not. Waller disappointed in 2023 and injuries were once again a problem for him. Because of that, per the New York Post, the star tight end is debating retiring this offseason.

With Barkley set to his free agency, along with Xavier McKinney, the G-Men could look pretty darn different once Week 1 gets here. Enter Ridley? After serving his long suspension for sports betting, he was a stud on the field in 2023.

This past campaign for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 6-1, 190-pounder posted 76 receptions for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns. Per Spotrac.com, his estimated salary is in the $17-18 million per year range. Is this something Schoen would consider?

There are loads of questions to be answered for Schoen, including who his starting quarterback will be. Is a Daniel Jones replacement on the way? How things shape out in free agency will give us all a better idea of what's to come in the draft, but Ridley is now all of a sudden a name to keep an eye on.
