4 things to watch at NY Giants OTAs starting on Monday
East Rutherford is going to be rocking on Monday, as the NY Giants will be back on the field for the start of OTAs. This is Year 2 of the Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen era for the G-Men and there are some high expectations for the 2023 season.
This will also be the first time that the NY rookies will be able to impress not only the coaching staff, but some of the veterans on the roster as well. With that said, there are several things for the fanbase to keep an eye on over the next few days:
4. The new-look offense for the New York Giants
There have been plenty of fun additions on both sides of the ball this offseason, but let's focus on offense to start. To name a few, Darren Waller, Jalin Hyatt and Paris Campbell will play a big role for the aerial attack. Starting with Waller, people can't wait to see what he can do now that he's going to be catching balls from Daniel Jones.
The main concern surrounding the former Pro Bowler is his health. Waller, who once posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, has missed a ton of action over the past two years. The hope is he can stay close to 100 percent for 2023. As for Hyatt and Campbell, goodness, Schoen nailed it by getting both of these guys to town.
Campbell is a youngster with a ton of potential, as he showcased strong play for the Colts. Then with Hyatt, he was a guy who a lot of folks thought could have gone in the first or second round, but NY traded up for him in the third round. It'll be fun to watch these guys in action in New Jersey over the coming days.
