Week 17: NY Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Dec. 31
What kind of season can the LA Rams have in 2023? They had a terrible Super Bowl hangover, going 5-12 and missing out on the postseason. Matthew Stafford suffered a season-ending injury, but he’s been working overtime this offseason to get himself ready for the new campaign.
Stafford vs. Jones will be an exciting QB duel. This won’t be an easy game for the Giants, as the LA defense is quite spectacular. They’ll hope to post an upset win over the Giants at MetLife, but something tells us a Graham Gano field goal late in the fourth quarter will be just enough for Big Blue to escape with a close victory.
Prediction: NY Giants 28, Rams 25
Week 18: NY Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Jan. 7
After going 0-3 vs. the Eagles last season, and likely losing the showdown in Philly earlier in the campaign, you already know that the Giants will have revenge on their minds to close out the '23 schedule. They’ll have their chance to do so against Philly this week at home. This is going to be a showdown that fans on both sides are going to have circled on their calendars for quite some time.
Yes, we already know that the Giants and Eagles will meet on Christmas Day at Lincoln Financial Field. That could prove to be a tricky contest for the Giants, who historically haven’t played well in the City of Brotherly Love. In this MetLife meeting, look for Dexter Lawrence and Kayon Thibodeaux to combine for four sacks in an NY stunner.
Prediction: Giants 21, Eagles 17
Final regular season prediction: 10-7 and an NFC Wild Card spot
