Bring on free agency! Before you know it, the legal tampering period will begin and general managers will be working overtime to ink stud playmakers. Such will be the case for NY Giants GM Joe Schoen, as he'll be ready to improve this roster on both offense and defense.

Luckily for Giants Nation, some top targets are already being mentioned for Schoen and the G-Men. Two new names to keep an eye on would be pass-rusher Danielle Hunter and offensive guard Jonah Jackson. Per Pat Leonard, the two stars are on NY's list of guys to go after in March:

Jonah Jackson and Danielle Hunter would be dream NY Giants signings

That was quite the update from Leonard at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and one that we're big fans of. At guard, the Giants simply have to make some improvements in free agency and through the NFL Draft. Jackson would be an unreal addition for OL coach Carmen Bricillo, especially after it was reportedly Mark Glowinski won't be back next season.

Jackson, a 6-4, 310-pounder, has spent the past four seasons with the Detroit Lions, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2021. Jackson has appeared in 57 games over the past four campaigns, starting every single time he's hit the field.

Over on defense, this isn't the first time Hunter has been linked with a move to the Giants. Previously, there were trade rumors surrounding him and the NFC East side, but now Schoen is in a strong position to put some quality dollars in front of him.

The standout pass-rusher checks in at 6-5, 265 pounds and he's also coming off a strong year in 2023. This past fall with the Vikings, Hunter posted a career-high 16.5 sacks. Add in his 83 total tackles and it's easy to see why he was a Pro Bowler for the second consecutive season.

Kayvon Thibodeaux is a beast on the outside, finishing with 11.5 sacks in '23, but he needs some help. Azeez Ojulari can't seem to stay healthy. New defensive coordinator Shane Bowen would also love some new guys to make plays for him. Hunter would be a splash signing for him and head man Brian Daboll, no doubt.
