Joe Schoen is all about building depth ahead of training camp getting started in two days. After signing Cole Beasley and James Robinson over the weekend, the second-year GM is making more moves to start the week.

On Monday morning, the NY Giants came to terms with former Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Brandin Bryant. The 6-3, 295-pounder spent the first year of his career in Cleveland before making his way to Buffalo for the past three campaigns. Now, he'll look to make some noise in East Rutherford.

The Giants have signed DT Brandin Bryant to help out with depth

It's no secret that Schoen wanted to improve the DT depth this offseason and he did just that by bringing in both A'Shawn Robinson and Rakeem Nunez-Roches. Bryant isn't a big-name player by any means, but his 6-3, 295-pound frame will surely open up plenty of eyes.

Last seaon for Buffalo, he appeared in only four games, posting three tackles. For his career, he's made 11 appearances, with nine tackles. Those numbers aren't going to jump off the page, but he's familiar with Schoen and Brian Daboll from their Buffalo days.

Hey, remember when Isaiah Hodgins was reunited with those two last year and people had low expectations? Hodgins ended up blowing those expectations out of the water. We're not saying we expect the same from Bryant, but don't sleep on this kid either.

Giants legend Carl Banks advises Saquon Barkley to play this season

In other news, the Saquon Barkley drama won't stop. Recently, safety Xavier McKinney showed support for No. 26, saying that he and his teammates have his back. Giants legend Carl Banks has a different take on things, advising Barkley to get out on the field as soon as possible:

There's plenty of concern that Barkley could sit out regular season games, which Banks thinks would be a big mistake. If Barkley plays on the non-exclusive franchise tag, he'd make $10.1 million for the 2023 campaign. Banks thinks he should take that dough and put up huge numbers for the G-Men this season.
