1. UConn OG Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes is a strong, physical guard out of UConn. Now we know what you're thinking, the last player the Giants drafted out of UConn was Matt Peart and we all saw how that turned out. It might have some Giants fans second guessing based on the level of play and competition Haynes faced. The concern is understandable, but Haynes is a completely different player than Peart and with the offensive line needs for Big Blue, he's a player fans must keep an eye on.
Haynes is durable, having played in 49 straight games at guard for the Huskies. He is a two time All-American in 2022 and 2023. The young man has a mean streak too. If you have been watching some of the Senior Bowl practices during the week, Haynes has been in some heated reps in one-on-one drills against defensive tackles and ends. One defensive tackle was even so frustrated by Haynes, that he ripped his helmet off and threw it.
The Giants have to add both starters and depth pieces to the offensive line this offseason. Haynes would bring some attitude, toughness, and durability to an offensive line that desperately needs it. If there's an offensive lineman the fans should be watching this weekend, it's Haynes.
