1. CB Deonte Banks

One of the most significant breakout performances for the G-Men this past season was rookie defensive back Deonte Banks, who impressed when matching up against some of the best receivers in the league. The former first-round pick out of Maryland had 64 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 passes defended in 15 games.

With the 22-year-old cornerback performing at a high level, you have to imagine he will only improve and continue to develop as a future All-Pro or Pro Bowler; however, it will be interesting to see how he gets there with a new defensive coordinator joining Big Blue's coaching staff in Shane Bowen.

We can expect Banks to have a chip on his shoulder and be motivated to improve throughout the offseason and training camp. With the Giants' rookie set on getting his name on next year's Pro Bowl list, we can expect even better results from the 27th-best defense in the NFL, which allowed 48 touchdowns this past year.

With veteran defensive backs Adoree' Jackson and Xavier McKinney set to hit the open market as free agents this offseason, the Giants should plan to build their secondary around Banks, as he will be viewed as a valuable asset on Brian Daboll's defense for many years to come and will have a solid chance at becoming the team's next Pro Bowler.
