Bobby Okereke was a bright spot on a depressing NY Giants defense

There were a lot of problems with the NY Giants defense vs. Philly. Whether it be poor tacking, run stopping, or missed tackles. Despite this, Bobby Okereke was not a part of the problem at all and had one of his best games of the season. Not only did he play a big role in the moments of brilliance in the run game, but Okereke looked incredible in coverage as well.

In 76 snaps, Okereke racked up 10 tackles, which was a game-high, one pass deflection, and one pressure. Alongside this, Okereke wasn't targeted once in his 25 coverage snaps. Since signing with New York, Okereke has taken a leap from above-average backer, to arguably Top 10 at his position and it's been incredible to watch.

If not for Okereke, the Giants' defense would have looked much worse than it already did. Other players may not have stepped up, but just like every other week, Okereke was there to pick up the slack. Stuff like this is what makes him worthy of his first-ever Pro Bowl, so make sure to vote for the veteran before it's too late.
