2. CB Cor'Dale Flott

The Giants' secondary was a big question mark this offseason after Xavier McKinney left in free agency for the Packers, and the team drafted Tyler Nubin in the second round as his replacement. At cornerback, the Giants can expect big things out of 2023 first-round pick Deonte Banks in Year 2, but what can we expect out of the team's new CB2?

The G-Men drafted Dru Phillips in the third round, who could excel at the nickel back position. They brought back Darnay Holmes and re-signed Nick McCloud for depth, but will focus on third-year Cor'Dale Flott as the team's other starter. Many expected the Giants to sign a veteran defensive back like Stephon Gilmore with the salary cap money gained from Darren Waller's retirement. Still, Daboll seems confident in Flott and believes he will take the next step this year.

According to Pro Football Reference, Flott played only 56 percent of the Giants’ defensive snaps in 2023. He mainly served as Adoree' Jackson's backup, but Flott has caught the eye of the coaching staff during OTAs and is primed for a promotion this year. While it hasn't been easy for Flott during practice, as he was seen burned by rookie standout Malik Nabers for a long touchdown, this is what we expect from the No. 6 overall pick, so you can't blame the third-year CB for that entirely. Flott needs to look strong to prove he's the right man for the CB2 job.
