3. DL D.J Davidson

After being selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, D.J Davidson really didn't show all that much during his rookie season. To make things worse, Davidson would tear his ACL just five games into the campaign, cutting his year incredibly short. While you could make the argument that he deserves a chance to prove himself, the Giants simply have too much defensive line depth to where it would be incredibly difficult for him to find playing time.

In the five games we saw out of Davidson, he appeared in just 43 snaps, racking up four tackles in the process. Considering the signings of Rakeem Nunez-Roches and A'Shawn Robinson, alongside the drafting of Jordon Riley, it's difficult to confidently say Davidson will be around by the time the season starts.

Maybe Davidson will be saved from the chopping block, but even if he is, it's likely that he won't see the field very often. Simply put, there is too much talent ahead of Davidson which is unfortunate. Hopefully, he proves us wrong and fights his way back from the ACL injury he suffered, but it's too early to tell.
