It wasn't too long ago that both NY Giants owner John Mara and head coach Brian Daboll re-opened the door for Odell Beckham Jr. to don a Big Blue jersey once again. After fans had accepted that he wouldn't be back, they got excited once again. Leave it to Adam Schefter to bring you back down.
Earlier this week, Schefter reported that the Baltimore Ravens have put an offer on the table for the former Pro Bowl wide receiver. Not only that, but Schefter said that the Ravens, Jets and Rams feel like the most-likely landing spots for OBJ.
The Ravens, Jets and Rams are likely landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr.
The buzz around the Jets has been increasing in recent weeks, as everyone is waiting for the Aaron Rodgers trade to be finalized. Rodgers has reportedly been recruiting Beckham to play for Gang Green, which would be something to see.
However, they're not the only ones ready to try and bring in OBJ. With Baltimore putting an offer in front of Beckham, it sure stirs the pot a bit. With Baltimore, though, it's up in the air if Lamar Jackson will be back with the team next season or not, as he officially requested a trade and general manager Eric DeCosta refused to answer questions on him during a recent presser.
With the Rams, their fans loved watching Beckham suit up in SoCal, as No. 13 helped LA win the Super Bowl in February of 2021. As nice as that reunion sounds, we'd rather see Beckham return to East Rutherford instead, but to play for the Giants and not the Jets.
Schefter's latest report didn't even mention the G-Men, though, which doesn't give us a ton of hope that OBJ will catch balls from Daniel Jones in 2023. Unless a miracle goes down, it just doesn't feel likely whatsoever that the G-Men will ink Beckham.
