4. WR Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown

The Giants have a need at wide receiver, but signing former Oklahoma Sooners star Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a long-term deal would be a mistake for New York. While Brown is electrifying on the field, he hasn’t lived up to his billing as a true No. 1 wide receiver since coming into the league with the Baltimore Ravens. Since being traded to the Arizona Cardinals, the team’s offense has faltered, whether he deserves the blame or not, but it isn’t debatable that his connection with quarterback Kyler Murray has left a ton to be desired.

If Daniel Jones returns as the Giants’ starting quarterback in 2024, it’s time to bring in a top shelf wide receiver to pair with him. Over the last two seasons, Brown hasn’t surpassed 1,000 yards in Arizona, and he hasn’t caught more than four touchdowns in a season. The raw talent is there of course, but he’s also not the type of wide receiver who the Giants need in their wide receiving corps, as they already have pass-catchers like Wan’Dale Robinson in the mix.

Brown won’t come cheap regardless, so the Giants are better served to let another team try to unlock his potential instead of being on the hook for a monstrous contract that he’s likely not going to live up to.
