4 players the NY Giants could trade after sending Leonard Williams to Seattle
By Zak Musso
The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching and it looks like the G-Men are going to be sellers before 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday arrives. After a demoralizing collapse to the Jets Sunday that dropped the Giants to 2-6, New York will certainly not be buying at the deadline and they could part ways with veteran pieces.
Joe Schoen started this process Monday afternoon, trading Leonard Williams to Seattle for a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick. That deal is a heist from Schoen and gives the Giants a ton of flexibility moving forward. With Williams gone, could others join him in leaving Big Blue? Here are four players to keep an eye on:
4. WR Parris Campbell
It goes without saying, but Parris Campbell has been one of the biggest disappointments for the G-Men this campaign. When the Giants and Schoen signed him to a one-year deal this offseason, fans had high hopes for the speedster. No one expected him to be a WR1 for Daniel Jones, but the potential was there for Campbell to be a difference-maker.
Thus far this season, though, Campbell has 16 receptions to his name for only 85 yards. This is not what anyone had in mind for him eight games into the season. Campbell was coming off a career year for the Colts in 2022: he caught 63 balls for 623 yards and three touchdowns. Come Tuesday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him traded.
