2. Indianapolis Colts WR Isaiah McKenzie

Some might see this option and think the Giants don’t need another wide receiver - but that is not why Isaiah McKenzie is on here. After Sunday’s game against the Commanders in which Eric Gray struggled with punt returns, got hurt and then Sterling Shepard fumbled a punt return that led to Washington getting its only touchdown of the game, the Giants need a suitable and reliable punt return option.

That is why McKenzie could be a trade target, because he is just that for the Colts, who aren’t having the season they thought they would. At 3-4, they might be inclined to sell off some pieces who aren’t signed on for next season and McKenize is only on a one-year deal with Indianapolis.

Plus, both Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen know McKenzie from his time with the Buffalo Bills, as he was there from 2018 until 2022. So, adding someone like McKenize would be a welcomed addition to two parts of the Giants game plan as a punt returner and another receiving option.

Even with the Giants adding Gunner Olszewski to the practice squad earlier this week, the Giants still should be looking at other punt return options to avoid having what happened against Washington happen again.
