1. Alabama pass-rusher Dallas Turner

While most of the attention for the Giants has been focused on quarterbacks, especially Williams, could the Giants look to draft a defensive stud if they pick later than the Top 5? One name to keep an eye on would definitely be Alabama pass-rusher Dallas Turner, who Schoen saw in person on Saturday.

Turner is widely considered one of the best defensive prospects for the 2024 draft class. The 6-4, 245-pounder has been a monster for the Crimson Tide this campaign. In 10 games this season for Nick Saban and Co., the playmaker has posted 39 total tackles and seven sacks. Pass-rush depth has been a major issue for the Giants in 2023.

Azeez Ojulari has missed most of the fall due to injury, while Kayvon Thibodeaux had to leave Sunday's loss vs. the Cowboys with a concussion. The Thibodeaux-Ojulari combo hasn't lived up to the hype. We're not saying Schoen should use a Top 5 pick on Turner, but say the G-Men string together some wins the rest of the way and pick at No. 12 o No. 13 - you think Schoen would pass on someone like Turner? Who knows. Fans want Williams in town, but others will need to be monitored moving forwrd, including the Bama stud.
