The 2023 offseason is getting shorter and shorter - we are only four months away from Week 1 getting here. The NY Giants are now full steam ahead in preparation for the 2023 season. Before you know it, the Giants will report to training camp and begin the grueling process of finalizing the 53-man roster.

Before we get to that point, the offseason hype will pick up one more time, as the 2023 NFL Schedule will be released on Thursday night. The Giants will play six games against their divisional rivals in 2023, play the entire AFC East and NFC West divisions, as well as the Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers (all of whom were third-place teams in 2022 like Big Blue).

The Giants played just two primetime games in the 2022 regular season. The Giants became an exciting team in 2022 thanks to Brian Daboll, who led his team to a 9-7-1 season and a playoff victory. With the newfound excitement around the Giants, and the fact that Big Blue plays in the world's largest media market, it is likely the Giants will play around five primetime games in 2023:

5. Giants at the Eagles for a Christmas showdown

Santa brought an early present for Giants fans. Or maybe he brought Giants fans coal. The NFL announced on Wednesday morning that the Giants will play the Eagles on Christmas afternoon in Philadelphia. It's no surprise that the Giants and Eagles are playing in front of a national audience.

The last time we saw these two square off was in the NFC Divisional Round, where we saw the Eagles give the Giants an unfortunate whooping. That loss was tough to see for the Big Blue faithful.

There is tons of intrigue in this one. Jalen Hurts and Daniel Jones both received mega-deals this offseason, which cemented their statuses as QB1 for their respective franchises. There has not been a repeat champion in the NFC East since 2005, so it's fair to assume this game will have massive, late-season implications.

Even if the Giants aren't in the NFC East race, they will undoubtedly be in the NFC Wild Card race, so Week 16 could prove to be massive for their playoff chances. This will be a must-watch showdown for people across the globe.
