It's go time. After weeks of waiting, free agency is here and Joe Schoen is ready to reach out to several top targets he has on his board. As you already know, the NY Giants and the young general manager have plenty of needs on both sides of the ball they need to address.

Obviously, the offensive line is going to be a huge focus to help out new position coach Carmen Bricillo. However, Schoen also needs to be aggressive in attacking other spots. With that said, it's prediction time and we're eyeing these seven moves for Schoen in the near future:

7. Letting Saquon Barkley sign with the Texans

Unfortunately for Schoen and Co., there are going to be some departures as well. We don't want to get you sad, but former No. 2 overall pick Saquon Barkley will be on his way out of East Rutherford. Time and time again, Schoen has made it quite clear that he doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a running back. The same can be said for safety (more on that later in this piece).

Barkley has meant so much to this team over the years, but he's only been on two playoff teams and he's had a lot of difficulty staying healthy. After a career-best 1,312 rushing yards in 2022, he was held to 962 in '23 due to missing three games with a high-ankle sprain. That was a major bummer for No. 26 and the offense.

In free agency, several teams will be making a run to land him. This includes the Eagles, Ravens, Texans and more. The hope is that Barkley will come back to Schoen with his best offer, but we don't expect him to match/top anything. In the end, look for Saquon to make his way to the AFC South to join Houston on a multi-year deal.
