Predicting 7 NY Giants free agency moves including letting Saquon Barkley leave
4. Signing CB Darious Williams away from Jacksonville
In addition to bringing in Russell Wilson for a meeting recently, Schoen also got a head start on things by hosting Jaguars free-agent cornerback Darious Williams for a visit. This got Giants Nation pretty darn excited, as cornerback is something Schoen needs to focus on too. It's up in the air what's going to happen with Adoree' Jackson, but we feel like he's as good as gone.
Not only that, but Aaron Robinson can't stay healthy. Things are locked in for the future with Deonte Banks, as he was brilliant during his rookie season. However, some veteran leadership is needed and that's exactly where Williams can step in. The CB was downright sharp in 2023, posting 15 pass deflections and four interceptions.
Those stats alone make him an intriguing target. He could step in as the CB2 for Banks on the opposite side of the field. While we've focused mostly on offensive players thus far in our list, Schoen has to help out new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen as well. This is where Williams would come in, as he'd be a quality signing, no doubt.
