Before you know it, this wild offseason in the NFL will come to a close and teams like the NY Giants will be getting ready to hit training camp. Yeah, we may still be a while away from August and September getting here, but people can't wait for the official 2024 schedule to be released.
With the NFL Draft arriving in late April, fans also can't wait to see which standouts their favorite teams end up selecting. After that, though, the focus will surely go to the schedule release. With that said, when will things be dropped for everyone to check out?
When will the 2024 NFL official schedule be released?
No date has been set as of yet, but in recent years, the schedule has been posted the second week of May. It's up in the air if history will repeat itself in 2024, but if that's the case, either Wednesday, May 8 or Thursday, May 9 could be days to keep an eye on.
Teams already know who they'll be facing off against next season, but we're all just waiting for the dates, times and locations for those showdowns. For Brian Daboll and the Giants, they'll have home games against the Cowboys, Eagles, Commanders, Saints, Bucs, Ravens, Bengals, Vikings and Colts. They'll then hit the road to take on the Cowboys, Eagles, Commanders, Seahawks, Falcons, Panthers, Browns and Steelers.
Joe Schoen and Co. have had a busy offseason, bringing in Devin Singletary, Brian Burns, Jon Runyan Jr. and others. Soon enough, though, Giants Nation will find out if NY will move up to take a QB to replace Daniel Jones, or if they'll bring in a wideout at No. 6 overall. Again, once the draft wraps up, it will be time to wait patiently for the schedule release. That second week of May sure looks like it could be when things are announced.
