Ranking possible wide receiver targets for the Giants in free agency
2. Gabe Davis
Gabe Davis should be a top priority for the Giants this offseason and if you don't think so, here's why. Davis played under head coach Brian Daboll when he was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills from 2018 to 2021 and Schoen was also the Bills assistant general manager when Davis was there from 2017 to 2021. So, this move would make the most sense for the Giants to make.
Despite the connections Davis has with Daboll and Schoen, he has proven over the last few years that he could be a top receiving threat. Davis had 746 receiving yards last year with seven touchdowns and just the campaign before had a career year in receiving yards with 836. Davis is also a very popular option to throw to in scoring situations - he's had seven touchdown receptions in three of his four seasons.
With Davis already familiar with Daboll and his offensive schemes, this would be a perfect match. Davis has been overshadowed by Stefon Diggs in Buffalo over the last few years, but if you bring him into the Giants, he can easily become a quality target for Daniel Jones and this offense will have a chance for much better results after being in the basement over the last in the passing attack rankings.
