3. OT Trenton Brown
With the hiring of Carmen Bricillo, the odds of the Giants bringing in Trenton Brown are likely higher than before. While their time together in New England was short, it's more of a connection to New York than was established previously. Brown has been a pivotal piece for the Patriots, but with the franchise going in a different direction this offseason, they opted to void his contract and Brown is now a free agent.
Brown has been a pretty damn good tackle for the majority of his career, even making a Pro Bowl with the Raiders in 2019. Most recently, he finished a season in which he allowed just 17 pressures and three sacks through 11 games. While he's played left tackle the last two seasons, Brown has been on the right side of the line almost every other year of his career.
While signing Brown would mean the end of Evan Neal's time at right tackle, this could open up new opportunities for the soon to be third-year player. Given his size, pros, and cons of his game, Neal could benefit from a move to guard.
Sliding Neal to guard and signing Brown would make for a massive improvement to what has been one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL over the last couple of years. Hopefully, Bricillo can contact his old tackle and convince him to come to New York.
