Call what it has been for the New York Giants in 2023. It has been a disaster of a season and it looks like for the second time in the three seasons, the Giants will finish in the basement of the NFC. The offense has been horrendous, the defense can't seem to tackle, there have been questionable coaching decisions and so much more. Now at 2-7, the Giants are trying to somehow salvage the rest of their season.

And to make matters worse, after their 30-6 blowout loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, they now have to head to Texas to take on their rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. As many know already, these two teams met back in Week 1 and the Cowboys flat-out dominated the matchup to blank the G-Men at home, 40-0. So on paper, this game right away looks like an easy Dallas win. And with quarterback Daniel Jones now out the rest of the season, there is reason to believe that this Sunday's matchup is looking like another blowout. Here's why:

4. Dak Prescott is playing lights out right now

Ever since his horrendous Week 5 performance against the San Francisco 49ers where he threw three interceptions and lost 42-10, Dak Prescott is playing at a very high level right now. Since that game, Prescott has eight touchdowns to just one interception and has passed for 950 yards. He's quite simply playing at an exceptional level and could be a problem for the Giants on defense this coming Sunday.

Plus, Prescott doesn't lose to the Giants. In fact, since his rookie season in 2016, Prescott has not lost to the Giants, as he has gone 11-2 lifetime in his career against Big Blue. Prescott has simply turned a corner this season for the Cowboys after a rough stretch of games and is looking like a Top 10 quarterback right now. Don't be surprised if the reason the Cowboys win this on Sunday against an iffy Giants defense is because of No. 4.
