With the NY Giants' slow start to the season, going 1-2 through their first three games, fans are starting to worry about the team's chances of making the playoffs. Despite this, we still believe that New York can make a push into the postseason. The odds certainly aren't in their favor, but we've seen the Giants accomplish crazier feats in their history.

Regardless, something has to change if the Giants want to turn their campaign around. The way they are playing on both sides of the ball has been unacceptable and everyone must improve. New York may not be playing like it, but they are a better team than last season. For these five reasons, we still believe that the Giants can return to the postseason once again:

5. Their 1-2 start was expected and has been overexaggerated

Entering the season, how many people realistically thought that the Giants were going to beat either the Cowboys or 49ers? Sure, New York improved a ton this offseason, but it wasn't enough to compete with the upper echelon of the NFL and we knew this. No one expected a 40-0 blowout in Week 1, but it was clear that the Giants were still a level below the Cowboys.

The Giants were given a much tougher schedule this season, so it's pretty expected that their flaws would be put on display against these sorts of teams. However, the Giants have had their lunch money stolen against both the Niners and Cowboys and they have to play better against the top teams in the league.

Luckily for the Giants, they play much worse teams in the latter half of the season. No offense, but if New York can't beat teams like the Seahawks, Jets, Raiders, or Saints, then we can forget about the playoffs. Despite this, we're confident that we'll see this team wake up and begin dominating some of the more mediocre teams in the NFL.
