3. WR Kadarius Toney

One of the most recent Giants failures during his tenure in New York was wide receiever Kadarius Toney. Similar to Apple, Toney was a former first-round pick by the Giants. The wideout went No. 20 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. The pick came as a surprise to many, as he wasn't mocked to go to the Giants and was a player who not a lot of people were talking about. Toney showed flashes of success early in 2021, but quickly ruined his reputation in his young career because of some of his actions on and off the field.

In Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys his rookie season, Toney recorded 10 catches for 189 yards, breaking Beckham's Giants receiving record for a rookie, but he was ejected in that same game for throwing a punch at Damontae Kazee. Following Week 5, Toney would go on to miss four more games due to an oblique injury, which significantly lowered his stock. Toney finished the season with the second-most receiving yards on the Giants, but his attitude and injuries made him a villain to many fans.

In Week 2 of the 2022 season, Toney suffered a hamstring injury. Not long after, the Giants traded the former first-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a third-rounder, which was later traded for Darren Waller, and a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Toney did not take this lightly, as he would go on to continuously beef with Giants fans and bash the organization for trading him on social media. He's won two rings with the Chiefs, but his future with the team is totally up in the air.
