Since the beginning of January, and maybe even before then, NY Giants fans have had the 2024 NFL Draft on their minds. We've seen all the mocks, done all the research and talked ourselves into just how good whoever we pick at No. 6 will be. By now, it feels unanimous the Giants will take a receiver with their first-round pick.

Whether it's Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze remains to be seen, but all signs point to a new offensive weapon coming to NY. This takes us to Round 2, where thanks to the Leonard Williams trade, the Giants have two picks and can really make strides to improve their roster. Here are five potential Day 2 targets for fans to keep an eye on:

5. S Kamren Kinchens

With Xavier McKinney seemingly on his way out, Kamren Kinchens could be a good replacement to play opposite of Jason Pinnock. Adding him to a youthful secondary of Pinnock, Deonte Banks and Cor'Dale Flott would make this core even stronger. Kinchens has improved every year he's been at Miami and is regarded as the second best safety in the entire draft because of his play.

In the past two years alone he amassed more than 100 tackles, 11 passes defended and 11 interceptions. For a secondary that sometimes struggles to create turnovers, adding a ball hawk like Kinchens could be a difference maker.

Kinchens has a natural ability to not only read the quarterback's eyes, but also a receiver's routes. This, of course, explains how he is able to get to the ball so easily and make those impact plays. It's noted that Kinchens' one-on-one coverage needs to be developed, but that can be coached. His athleticism and instincts are things that can't be. Safety may not be the area of need Joe Schoen and Co. decide to address early in the draft, but if Kinchens is there, he may be too good to ignore.
