Slow-motion angle of one-handed Saquon Barkley catch is unreal
With the NY Giants in need of a win on Sunday, you already knew that running back Saquon Barkley was going to step up for this team. On the first drive of the game, Tommy DeVito rolled out of the pocket and he was looking for someone downfield.
Barkley was able to break free of a defender and DeVito put the ball where only the RB would be able to come down with the ball. The Pro Bowler was able to do just that, somehow posting an incredible one-handed grab. The slow-motion view of things makes the catch even sweeter:
Saquon Barkley posted an incredible one-handed grab vs. the Saints
As you can see starting at about the nine second mark of that clip, Barkley indeed needed just one hand to pin the ball against his body and then hang on to the pigskin despite taking some big hits. This was truly incredible from Saquon.
On Monday night, the Giants nearly suffered a late loss to the Packers, with a Barkley fumble setting up a Jordan Love touchdown with less than two minutes to go to put Green Bay on top. After that score, it felt like the Giants were destined to suffer a tough loss.
Instead, DeVito and Co. made the necessary plays late to set up a Randy Bullock field goal to win it. Barkley was disgusted with his turnover and he called himself out for it. With that said, Barkley also made it clear he was going to bounce back and focus on improving the rest of the campaign. So far, things are looking pretty dang good for him vs. New Orleans.
