Of all the offseason moves made by NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen, bringing back fan-favorite Sterling Shepard for another year made countless people happy. Shepard is beloved by Big Blue nation, no doubt about that.
After suffering a torn Achilles and torn ACL in back-to-back years, No. 3 is motivated to have a strong showing in 2023. And, he's ready to do so with Brian Daboll running the show for his second campaign in East Rutherford.
This week, Shepard caught up with the NFL Network for 'Inside Training Camp Live' to talk about Coach Dabes, his expectations for this season and more:

Giants WR Sterling Shepard is ready to take on the Lions this week
"I think it's good. Everyone's got a good grasp of what they (Daboll and Mike Kafka) like and how they like stuff to be ran. I think it's been looking great at practice for us and we're excited about some new stuff. Coach Daboll is throwing in new stuff every day, so we're constantly adding some things to the plays list.""Sterling Shepard
This offense was quite vanilla in 2022, but the expectation is that plenty more explosive plays will be on the way in '23. Adding guys like Darren Waller, Parris Campbell, Jalin Hyatt and others for the O is going to make a massive difference.
Shepard knows that this unit has a ton of potential and he's ready to make a difference as well. When he went down with his serious knee injury during Week 3 last season, it was heartbreaking to see him carted off the field.
A lot of people thought that would be his last play with the G-Men, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. Big things are expected of Daboll and Co. during their second season running the Giants. We'll see if Shepard can haul in some impressive receptions from start to finish this season as well.
